I’m Chris W. — a Rochester, NY-based photographer specializing in weddings, portraits, headshots, pet photography, and family sessions. Since picking up a camera in 2016, I’ve been passionate about capturing real, candid moments that tell a story.
Whether I’m photographing a couple on their wedding day, a family in their backyard, or a beloved pet in their favorite spot, my goal is to create images that feel natural, authentic, and timeless. I believe the best photos happen when people are relaxed and simply being themselves — no forced poses, just genuine moments.

My love of photography began 25 years ago when I was lucky enough to find an RIT photography professor as a mentor. For the past 15 years I have been working with a variety of successful Rochester photographers and learning as much as possible. After gaining experience photographing portraits, schools, and professional events, I realized weddings are not only my favorite to photograph, but also the most rewarding. Capturing the love of a couple surrounded by their families and friends is truly amazing. My focus is on capturing candid moments of a couple and their guests while also offering guidance as needed for more formal portraits. I strive to deliver visual memories that highlight the detail that goes into your wedding day in order to tell your true love story.

Growing up in New York City, I fell in love with photography—capturing the world around me through a lens became second nature. My journey began with the foundations of analog photography, developing my own film and honing my skills in the darkroom. Over time, that passion expanded to include digital photography and the art of photo editing, allowing me to bring each image to life in new ways.
I earned my BFA in Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where I deepened my technical expertise and creative vision. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of photographing a wide range of subjects—from e-commerce products to weddings, headshots, families, and special events. No matter the occasion, I aim to tell a story through my images, capturing the moments that matter most.

I am a wedding photographer based in Rochester, NY. I have a full-time job as Quality Technician, but my real passion is photography. I studied some photography at Oswego State University in the early 2000's. Throughout the years I have captured outdoor scenes and sold at local festivals. I have been photographing weddings since 2008. Not just taking pictures at your wedding but getting to know the bride and groom and their families make your wedding day just as special to me as taking the photos. Your wedding could be in a church, a banquet hall of even in an outdoor setting and we will make it more than just a wedding but an experience of a lifetime.
